Successful Completion of Alumni Field and Stadium!

Nicholas, serving on the committee oversaw the completion of Alumni Field. He has played an instrumental role with his colleague Committee Member Wilbur to ensure that we properly charge outside organizations a competitive rate to create a stream of passive income for our schools. Nicholas' business experience truly shines through policy-making for field use and field charges.


FREE Vocational Training Opportunities for Millbury Students!

Nicholas has been a proponent of vocational education. He voted to support an agreement between Millbury Public Schools and the New England Carpenters Training Center. This agreement will allow Millbury’s high school students an opportunity to receive training from certified instructors in the areas of general carpentry. There will be NO charge to students for vocational training. Nicholas believes that students who would like to seek vocational training for skilled work deserve a chance to learn. NOT all students have the opportunity to go to college and deserve a chance to make a career with vocational training.

Advised for Equity Action Plans for MPS

Nicholas has been an advocate for educational equity in schools. He has advised the committee and Superintendent Myers to create equity initiatives throughout the district. Some of these initiatives include forming a PLC of district employees, students, and administrators. He advocated for reviewing hiring practices to keep a competitive edge and curriculum auditing to exceed statewide standards.

Millbury Memorial High School Making Great Strides

Millbury High School received scoring from the Department of Education that during the school year of 2021 it had made substantial progress toward targets outlined in its goals for the 2020-2021 school year.
